Important note:
These installation instructions refer to
various models.
Not all steps are required for some
models.
The appliance may be installed and
connected only by an authorised
technician according to these

installation instructions.

Always connect the water before the
power.
Apart from statutory national regula
tions, you should stick to the con
nection terms relating to the local
electricity and water companies.
Keep the installation instructions in
a safe place.
Appliance and installation dimensions
Installation location
Warning:
The appliance is very heavy, for empty
weight see the following table.
Basic model
Model with dispenser
Install the appliance in a dry, well ven
tilated room. The installation location
should neither be exposed to direct
sunlight nor near a heat source, e.g. a
cooker, radiator, etc. If installation next
to a heat source is unavoidable, use a
suitable insulating plate or observe the
following minimum distances to a heat
source:
- 3 cm to an electric cooker.
- 30 cm to an oil or solid fuel cooker.
The floor on which the appliance is to
be installed must be rigid. If required,
reinforce the floor (appliance is very
heavy, unloaded approx. 145 kg,
loaded up to 400 kg). To ensure that
the ice maker functions correctly, the
appliance must be upright. To ensure
that the doors can open all the way,
observe lateral minimum distances
when installing the appliance in a
corner or recess (see section on
Appliance and installation
dimensions").
Unpacking the appliance
S Remove packaging material and
adhesive tape. (Adhesive residue on
the housing can be removed with the
adhesive side of the removed tape.
To do this, repeatedly place the
104 kg
adhesive tape on the adhesive
113 kg
residue and remove).
S Do not remove the transportation
protection devices from the shelves
and storage compartments until the
appliance has been installed.
S After installing the appliance, remove
the transportation protection devices
from the ice maker. To do this, pull
out the ice maker.
Warning:
Before connecting the appliance to the
power supply, remove all the inner and
outer packaging material.
If the depth of the adjacent kitchen
equipment is more than 60 cm,
observe lateral minimum distances in
order to utilise the full door opening
angle.

If a panel or cupboard is installed above
the appliance, ensure that a gap is left
so that the appliance can be pulled out
of the recess if required.
