Viewing Message Status
Text messages that you send are stored in the outbox. To view the
contents of your outbox:
Find the Feature
Messages are sorted from newest to oldest. The following icons
indicate message status:

Note: Some status indicators are not supported by Email
messages.
Receiving and Reading Messages
Note: You must set up the text message inbox before you can
receive text messages. See "Setting Up the Message Inbox" on
page 71.
Your phone checks for new

When you receive a new message, your phone displays

and gives an alert. If reminders are turned on, your
phone sends a reminder every five minutes until you close the new
message notification, read the message, or turn off your phone.

When your inbox is full, you must delete old messages before you
can open new ones.
