Setting up the driver PCB after replacement

NOTE: Before starting the first step in the flowchart, make sure that the print head unit is installed.
Make the machine enter the
maintenance mode.
Initialize the EEPROM.
(This is required when the driver
PCB has been replaced with one that
was used in another machine.)
Customize the EEPROM.
Update the property data.
Align the vertical print lines in
monochrome and in two colors and
adjust the head skew.
Print a test pattern.
Adjust margins in near-edge printing. *
Set the CIS scanner area.
Check the sensor operation.
Check the operation of the control
panel PCB.
Check the LCD operation.
Turn the machine off and then back on.
Exit the machine from maintenance
mode to restore it to the standby state.
Set an ID code.
Make a color copy.
* If any printed check pattern is blurred, carry out a purge with Function code 76. Refer to Chapter 7, Section 7.5.18 for
details.

Press the 9 key twice in the initial stage of the maintenance
mode to restore the machine to the standby state.
(If you turn the machine off without pressing the 9 key
twice, the next powering-on will restore the machine to
maintenance mode where a purging operation will be
initiated automatically.)
Set an ID code into the machine. (Refer to Appendix A2.2.)
Make a color copy to check the color print.
