Troubleshooting

Problem
After the induction hob is
switched on, the Standby
Indicator fails to light.
The Standby Indicator lights,
but the induction hob does not
start heating.
Heating stops suddenly during
use.
Failure error codes appear
(E3, E6)
Failure error codes appear
(E7, E8)
Failure error codes appear
(E1, E2, E4, E5, Eb,Ec)

Health and Safety

The use of any electrical appliance requires the following
common sense safety rules.
Primarily there is danger of injury or death and secondly
the danger of damage to the appliance. These are
indicated in the text by the following two conventions:
WARNING: Danger to the person!
IMPORTANT: Damage to the appliance!
In addition, we offer the following safety advice.
Location
This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as:
farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
bed and breakfast type environments.

Reason
The induction hob has no
power.
Cooking pan does not contain
magnetic materials.
Other issues.
The ambient temperature is
too high.
The Air Vents are blocked.
The timer has finished.
The automatic shut down has
occurred.
The induction hob is
overheated.
There is a power issue.
A major failure has occurred.
It is not suitable for use in staff kitchen areas in shops,
offices and other working environments.
Remove all the packaging and retain for future reference.
Ensure the appliance is used on a firm, flat surface.
Do not use the appliance outdoors or near water.
Do not place the appliance on a highly polished wooden
surface as damage may occur to the surface.
Do not use on a metal surface as induction could occur.
Do not place the appliance on or near hot surfaces such
as a hot plate, radiant rings or near a naked flame.
Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the
table or worktop or touch hot surfaces.
The food may burn, therefore do not use the induction
hob near of below combustible materials such as
curtains.
IMPORTANT: Do not use too close to curtains, draperies,
walls, cupboards and other flammable materials.
WARNING: Do not use underneath cupboards.
Solution
Check the plug is inserted
correctly.
Check the switch, wall socket,
fuse and power cable are in
good, working condition.
Try the induction hob with
another pan that is magnetic /
has worked previously.
The induction hob is faulty
contact Morphy Richards for
advice.
Allow the unit to cool and reset
before using again.
Switch off at the mains and
unblock the vent and allow the
unit to cool.
This is normal. Switch the
induction hob back on to
continue using.
Wait a few minutes before
switching the induction hob
back on.
Allow the induction hob to cool
and reset before using.
When the power returns to
normal the induction hob will
reset.
The induction hob cannot be
repaired. Contact Morphy
