4.1.3.1. Maintenance Cycle (Paper)
The following table shows the service cycle of the main parts, and KX-FA104E consists of below items.
Refer to KX-FA104E (for SERVICE) (P.318).

Fuser unit

Transfer roller
Resist roller
Paper cassette separation roller & separation pad
*1 Average life with intermittent printing on several sheets of paper.
*2 Maximum life with continuous printing.
*3 This is the value at 5% print density, which becomes less at higher density.
When the unit has printed 80,000 pages, following message will appear to tell the time for replacement.
Provided that the following symptoms are found, we recommend that you replace the above-mentioned maintenance kit all
together.

4.1.3.2.1. Fuser unit
• • • • Paper often jams inside the fuser unit. (Paper twines around the heat roller.)
• • • • Non-printing area of the paper (top and bottom) is often smeared.
4.1.3.2.2. Transfer roller
• • • • Smudges are frequently found on the reverse side of the printing paper.
4.1.3.2.3. Registration roller
• • • • The printed image is reduced.
• • • • Skewing has developed.
