4.3.3 Removing the cylinder
Removing the cylinder
Note: to prevent distortion or
damage to the cylinder or piston,
avoid the use of excessive force
disassembling
Remove the piston pin clips and
piston pin
Remove the piston, do not allow
the piston pin or clips fall into the
crankcase
Remove the cylinder base gasket
Remove the four cylinder studs
Remove the four cylinder locating
dowels
Remove and discard the cylinder head
gasket
Remove and discard the cylinder base
gasket
Remove the traces of gasket sealant
from the cylinder and head
Note: to preserve seal and prevent
oil and / or air leaks, do not damage
the cylinder head or valve cover
mating faces.
