General Safety Warnings

WARNING Read all safety warnings and instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
1. Work area safety
a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b. Do not operate this machine in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust.
c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating this machine. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
2. Personal safety
a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating this machine. Do not
use while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating may result in serious personal injury.
b. Use safety equipment. Always wear SAA approved eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
c.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the machine on. A wrench or a key left attached
to a rotating part of the machine may result in personal injury.
d. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the
machine in unexpected situations.
e. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
f.
If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust-related hazards.
3. 700 SAW BENCH use and care
a. Use clamps (not included ) or other practical ways to secure and support workpiece to a stable
platform. Holding workpiece by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.
b. Do not force the 700 SAW BENCH. Use the correct 700 SAW BENCH for your application. The
correct machine will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
c. Do not force material into Saw Blade when cutting. Apply moderate pressure, allowing the Saw Blade
to cut without being forced.
d. Shut off engine and keep the blade stop before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or
