                                                  When the TV is first turned on, it enters the initial setting mode, and the JVC logo is displayed. Follow the instructions on the on-screen display to make the initial settings.
  • Page 6 PREPARATION Press the button to start the AUTO PROGRAM function. The AUTO PROGRAM menu appears and received TV channels are automatically registered in the Programme numbers (PR). To cancel the AUTO PROGRAM function: Press the button. After the TV channels have been regis- tered in the Programme numbers (PR), the EDIT menu appears.

    REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS PANORAMIC: This mode stretches the left and right sides of a normal pic- ture (4:3 Aspect Ratio) to fill the screen, without making the picture appear unnatural. Note: The top and bottom of the picture are slightly cut off. 14:9 ZOOM: This mode zooms up the Wide Picture (14:9 Aspect Ratio) to the upper and lower limits of the screen.

Pressing the button having the same appear- ance as the original remote control button of a device makes the function work in the same way as the original remote con- trol.

    INSTALL The EDIT/MANUAL functions are divided into two types: ed- iting of the current Programme numbers (PR) (EDIT func- tions) and manual registration of a TV channel you want to view to the Programme number (PR) (MANUAL function). The details about these functions are as follows: MOVE: This function changes a Programme number (PR) of a TV channel.

            To display the DEMO menu: Press the button to display MENU (main menu). Press the button to choose DEMO. Then press the button. The DEMO function automatically demonstrates some of the TV functions. Press the buttons to choose ON.

    Turn off the SPEAKER function so that TV speakers will not issue any sound. Press the button to display the MENU (main menu). Press the buttons to choose SOUND SETTING. Then press the play the SOUND SETTING menu. The SOUND SETTING menu appears. Press the buttons to choose SPEAK- ER.
