Using Scan-to-SV-100B Function
• The Document transfer time is approximately 3 seconds per page (at 150 dpi) The higher
the scan resolution, the longer it takes for the document to transfer.
• The transferred proprietary file is registered to the unit's main folder.
• The scanned data in "BROTHER" folder is automatically deleted after they are converted
to proprietary format.
• Pressing [Cancel] during document transfer aborts the creation of the proprietary file(s),
and the "Document transfer process aborted. Erasing transferred data." screen is
displayed. After partially converted data is deleted, if there remains any converted file, the
last page of the main folder list is displayed. If there are no converted files, the screen will
return to whatever content was displayed before connecting to the multi-function device.
The scanned data that had the conversion aborted will remain in "BROTHER" folder, and
only the converted files are registered to the main folder.
• The remaining scanned data in the "BROTHER" folder will be converted to the unit's
proprietary file the next time you connect to and disconnect from a PC or a multi-function
device using a USB cable.
• If there is data in "BROTHER" folder that cannot be converted, [Document transfer
error.] screen is displayed. When [OK] is selected, the screen returns to whatever
content was displayed before it was connected to the multi-function device.
• If both convertible data and inconvertible data coexist within "BROTHER" folder, the
[Document transfer error.] screen is displayed after all the convertible files are
converted to the unit's proprietary files. Clicking [OK] displays the last page of the
main folder list.
• Connect the unit to a PC with a USB cable and manually delete the inconvertible
data from "BROTHER" folder using Windows Explorer.
• If the battery runs low during document transfer, the document transfer is aborted and

"Document transfer error. Low battery power." screen is displayed for a few seconds. The
screen returns to whatever content was display before the unit was connected to the
multi-function device. (If there are converted files, the last page of the main folder list is
displayed.) Scanned data that was aborted remains in "BROTHER" folder.
• If the memory card runs out of available space during document transfer, document
transfer is aborted, and "Document transfer error. Insufficient memory." screen is
displayed for a few seconds. The screen returns to the display before the unit was
connected to the multi-function device. (If there are converted files, the last page of the
main folder list is displayed.) Scanned data that was aborted remains in "BROTHER"
folder.
When document transfer is complete, the last page of the main folder list is displayed. The
converted proprietary files are registered to the end of the main folder list.
