Option Keys / Buttons

Most of the keys/buttons on this radio are programmable (see Table 4.1) as follows:
• On the side panel, the three buttons above the PTT switch (see Figure 2.3).
• On the front panel, buttons <F3>, <F4>, and all DTMF buttons.
• On the top panel, the rotary three-position switch and the orange button (see Figure 2.2)
The functions that can be controlled by option buttons are shown in Table 4.1. Each option
button can be programmed to control a different function in each of the three operating
modes. For example, <F3> can control one function when a conventional channel is
selected, another when a SMARTNET/SmartZone channel is selected, and still another
when a Project 25 trunked channel is selected.
