NOTE
1
This system is not intended for the coach to be left
unattended for long periods of time. This system is
not intended to keep batteries fully charged. And this
system is not intended to maintain the coach inside
temperature at
a
specific temperature.
The AGS is transparent to the normal operations
of the manual generator start and stop controls
(switches).
The AGS has built in delays to prevent rapid
generator starting cycles.
AutoGen Button
The AutoGen button is used to turn "ON" or
"OFF" the AGS. If the button shows "OFF" the
AGS is disabled. If the button shows "ON" the
AGS is enabled and the generator will run if the
run conditions are met. It should be noted that if
the AutoGen button were switched from "ON"
to "OFF" the AGS would issue a generator stop
command and stop the generator.
Figure 5 - Generator Screen
Once the generator is started by the AGS the
generator will run for the period selected for the
"Run Time for Generator" parameter (see Table
04-16
Heritage Information
2, User-selectable Parameters). At the end of
this period the AGS will issue a stop command
to the generator. At this point, if the battery volt-
age does not exceed the Low battery voltage set
point or if the front or rear air conditioning sys-
tem is "ON," the AGS will start the generator.
User-selectable Parameters
There are several user-selectable parameters that
allow the user to tailor the automatic generator
start control system to their particular needs.
Table 2 below provides the list of the user-selec-
table parameters with their default values.
