    It is important to follow the installation instructions for different models. The following is general advice for the installation of QASAIR Rangehoods and is meant as a guide. Firstly, there are many different cooking appliances on the market today and we list some here.
  • Page 5 QASAIR Rangehoods must be ducted in duct work equivalent to the outlet of the rangehood ie: The cross sectional area of the rangehood outlet and the duct work must be equal. Do not reduce the duct size or have sharp bends.

    Duct direction for uV / Fa models NDCH 100F-2 The photo's show a UV rear ducted and a FA top ducted unit. To change the direction undo the motor bolts NDCH 120F-2 (B) on both sides of the motor. The motor can then be changed to point in the direction required. Replace ECH 600F-1 the bolts and tighten.
  • Page 7 Fold away model (Fa) The rangehood can now be installed by inserting screws in the three holes provided on each side or to the top or back by drilling your own mounting holes as required. When installed, cover the access holes to the side fixing screws with the plastic plugs supplied.

    Insert rangehood into cut out and turn screw ‘C’ clockwise to align rangehood with cupboard base. Do not over tighten. Tighten screw ‘A’ by turning clockwise to lock fixing bracket. This coating can be upset by coming in contact with a substance that will attack the chromium oxide, such as a lemon solution or any cleaner with a preservative in it.

    QASAIR rangehoods are fitted with low voltage halogen lights which give a very clear, bright light. These become very hot if left on for a long period and can burn out. Please switch off after use. replacement Turn off power at power point.

We recommend that QASAIR rangehoods are ducted to the outside atmosphere by these duct pieces.     2000 cubic meters per hour. Qasair have hoods to go over domestic cookers such as ViKiNG, WOLF and CaPiTaL cooking appliances. These brands have a mega joule rating of up to 95 mj and therefore special hoods are required for the appliances.
