2.2. Functional Description

2.2.1. Power Sources

Nominal Voltage 12 V DC (Max. 25 V), Current Max. 0,5 A
Power to the GB 060 unit can
be
fed
using
either
the
standard
AC/DC
adapter
SA 012 503 or the 12 V power
source from vehicle. Power
source must be connected to
the 2-pin
power
connector
PWR+12 V. In case of power
outage it is possible to use
external battery connected to
the BAT+12 V clip.
Only a 12 V nominal voltage battery can be connected to the device!
The models with internal back up battery 9.6 V / 600 mAh (labeled ED 060 002)
included. In these cases the external battery has no use.
The charging current of internal or external battery is 70 mA while the power source
voltage of GB 060 has to be at least 1 V higher than the battery voltage.
The GB 060 device provides optimal recharging of the internal or external battery.
However, the charging voltage of GB 060 must be at least 1 V higher than the battery
voltage.
NOTE: If you remove internal battery from GB 060 and
want to use external back up battery, it is necessary to
connect interconnecting jumper in the internal back up
battery connector so the two pins in the middle are
connected.

2.2.2. Binary Inputs/Outputs

The device is provided with eight
independently-programmable
inputs/outputs. The signals can reach
two levels only: L (low) or H (high).
The input signals can be information
on the quantities controlled (e.g.
temperature). By the output signals
the quantities can be controlled. The
inputs/outputs are led out to a 10-pin
connector marked with numbers and
a +4V clip and "ground" symbol.
