Manual Setup AP - WEP
WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) encryption can be enabled for
security and privacy. WEP encrypts the data portion of each frame
transmitted from the wireless adapter using one of the predefined keys.
The router offers 64 or 128 bit encryption with four keys available.
Select Network Authentication type from the drop-down menu.
(Shared is better than Open)
Select Encryption Strength from the drop-down menu. (128 bit is
stronger than 64 bit)
Specify the encryption key from the Current Network Key drop-down
menu.
Enter the key into the Network Key field 1~4. (Key length is outlined at
the bottom of the window.)
Click on the Save/Apply button to apply settings.
