Input methods

Text input
Your Toshiba phone has three text input methods:
• T9
• Multi-press
• Numeric
T9 and multi-press modes are used for text, and numeric mode is
used for number entry.
You can change input method by pressing the *-key.

Method indicators

When you move the cursor into a field that requires you to enter
text or numbers, it will auto-select an appropriate input method.
One of the following text input methods will be displayed at the top
of the screen:
• - T9 input mode, English, initial letter upper case,
subsequent letters lower case.
• - T9 input mode, English, upper case.
• - T9 input mode, English, lower case.
• - T9 input mode, French, initial letter upper case,
subsequent letters lower case.
• - T9 input mode, French, upper case.
