defeating an alert siren

Press button until "TIME" is displayed.
Press or arrow until "DEFEAT SIREN" is displayed.
Press and then
Press for each event code relevant to your area to manually "ENABLE" or "DISABLE" (if you select "ENABLE",
the event alert remains on; if you select "DISABLE", the event alert will turn off), using the
Press after each setting change.
Press to exit.
notes: The DEFEAT SIREN feature relates to an event, which may occur in a speci c area, but might not be relevant to all residents.
For Example: AVW=Avalanche Warning. If you live in a county where avalanches can occur, but you are not located in a mountainous
part of that county, you can DISABLE this event using the DEFEAT SIREN function. See Selectable Alert Reference Chart for listing
of pre-de ned events in alphabetical order to determine which events can be disabled.
You cannot defeat event alerts marked with an asterisk "*" in the Selectable Alert Reference Chart.

testing the siren

To test the siren to ensure it is working, press
Press or arrow until "ALT TEST" is displayed.
Press button to sound the siren, then
Press to exit
