Erasing the Demo Songs

The VS-880EX contains demo songs for you to listen to and experiment with in order to become familiar
with various functions. These songs are recorded on the VS-880EX just like the songs you record and, as
such, occupy space on your internal hard drive. Use the following procedure to erase the demo songs and
restore the recording time to your hard drive.
Erasing the Demo Songs
This procedure permanently erases the demo songs from your internal hard drive. If
you would like to access these songs at a later time, make sure you back them up
before continuing with this procedure.
1.
Press [SONG] until "Song Select?" is displayed and press [YES].
2.
Use the TIME/VALUE dial to select the demo song you wish to erase.
3.
Press [YES] and "Select Song Sure?" will be displayed.
4.
Press [YES] and "Store Current?" will be displayed. If you have made any changes to the
current song that have not been saved, press [YES]. Otherwise, press [NO].
5.
Press [SONG] until "Song Name/Prtct?" is displayed. Then, press [YES].
6.
Press the right [CURSOR] button so that "ChangePrtct-> Off?" is displayed. (If
"ChangePrtct-> On?" is displayed, skip to step 8.)
7.
Press [YES] and "Now Working" will be displayed.
8.
Press [SONG] until "Song Erase?" is displayed and press [YES].
9.
Make sure that the demo song you want to erase is selected (if it is not, use the TIME/
VALUE dial to select it) and press [YES]. "Erase Song Sure?" will be displayed.
10.
Press [YES] and "Erase Really Sure" will be displayed.
11.
Press [YES] to execute the Song Erase procedure (press [NO] to cancel the procedure). "Store
Current?" will be displayed.
12.
Press [NO] and "Now Working" will be displayed. The VS-880EX will return to the main
play screen when the Song Erase procedure is finished. You can repeat these steps to erase
any remaining demo songs as desired.
