CD3 Architecture

Fusion is based on Ford Motor Company's global CD3
(Mazda 6) architecture. Differences between Fusion and the
original design include:
• 1.25 inches wider
• 2.2 inches longer
• .5 inch more rear leg room
These changes give Fusion a broader, more aggressive
appearance. They also improve ride and handling.

Other Features
• Bold stance/strong shoulders — viewed from either end,
the tires seem to be pushing outward and stretching the
sheet metal of the wheel arches
• Athletic shape — is created with bodysides that tuck in at
the rockers and that are widest at the character line on top
of the wheel arches — the effect is a car with a trim waist
and strong, broad shoulders
I-4 Appearance Package

• 17-inch aluminum wheels with painted pockets
• Fog lamps with color-keyed bezel
• Red stitching and accents on seats, door trim,
