The Modems tab should have a description of the modem. If it
does not, the installation was not successful; perform the installa-
tion procedure again.
3. On the Modems tab, ensure that the correct modem is high-
lighted and click the Properties button.
4. On the Diagnostics tab, click the Query Modem button.
If a series of commands and responses is displayed, the installa-
tion was successful.
If no commands and responses are displayed, the installation was
not successful; perform the installation procedure again.
Windows Me or 98:
1. Click Windows Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Modems icon.
The Modems Properties screen should have a description of the
modem. If it does not, the installation was not successful; perform
the installation procedure again.
3. On the Diagnostics tab, ensure that the correct modem port is
highlighted, then click More Info.
If a series of commands and responses is displayed, the installa-
tion was successful.
If no commands and responses are displayed, the installation was
not successful; perform the installation procedure again.
If you still have trouble using the modem, follow the procedure below
that best describes your symptom.
My PWR LED is not lit.
S o l u t i o n 1 :
The PWR LED does not light until the drivers are installed. Make sure
that the drivers are installed correctly by following the general trouble-
shooting procedure above.
