Selecting a Location
Before choosing a location for your new phone, there are some
important guidelines you should consider:
The location shoud be close to both a phone jack and an AC power
outlet.
Keep the base and handset away from sources of electrical noise
such as motors or fluorescent lighting.
Be sure there is sufficient space to raise the base antenna vertically.
The base can be placed on a desk or tabletop or mounted on a
wall plate.
Your should charge your new phone for 15-20 hours before
completing the installation or using the handset.
Most phone equipment available now uses modular jacks. Phone cords
are fitted with a molded plastic connector which plugs into this type of
jack. If you do not have modular phone jacks, contact your local
telephone company for information about their installation.
