(The V5-6 is designed to integrate with the Multilone receiver's commands and route
the video of up to six audio/video sources to as many as six zones)
1. Two component video sources are connected to Component Video Inputs 3 and 4. The video
sources' audio signals get connected to the corresponding audio inputs on the Niles Network
Multilone Receiver.
2. Balanced Video Output for lone 5 of the VS-6 is sent to it's respective room using cabling
through the wall. The local room control Cat-5 cable is for connection to, and communication
with, the optionally supplied IRG (Infrared Gateway FG01426).
3. The VS-6 gets its control command from the Niles Network Multilone Receiver via an Ethernet
connection cable from the Niles Network Multilone Receiver's Communication and Control con-
nection ports to the VS-6's rear panel Out to Master RJ-45 connection port.
ABOUT THE IRG (INFRARED GATEWAY)
An IRG is essential for the operation and control of each TV connected to the VS-6. The IRG
"monitors" the power status of the TV and issues IR commands to make sure that the TV is pow-
ered on and switches to the correct input when a Master Key is pressed on the Niles Network
Multilone Receiver keypads or touch screen interfaces. The TV's power status is detected using
