  • Page 2 16-Mbyte RAM SIMM Installation — (4685F16) Installation Power down the printer. Leave the power cord plugged in to provide a ground path for static discharges. Remove the interface cables. Loosen the two rear panel securing screws. Slide out the main board.
  • Page 3 16-Mbyte RAM SIMM Installation — (4685F16) If a RAM SIMM, such a a 4-Mbyte RAM SIMM, is already installed in the RAM SIMM connector, labeled J20, it must be removed. Metal pawls at each end of the RAM SIMM connector secure the RAM SIMM in the connector.
