CAUTION
To discourage theft, only use the
seatback locking strap(2) at the
center of the rear seat in an emer-
gency situation(battery is dis-
charged). Hide the strap so it is not
always visible.

3. Fold the seatback toward the front of
the vehicle.

4. Take the shoulder belt out of the rear
shoulder belt guides and move the
rear belts to the outside so they don't
interfere with the seatback when fold-
ing.
5. When you return the seatback to its
upright position, always be sure it has
locked into position by pushing on the
top of the seatback.
6. Insert the rear shoulder belts in the
rear shoulder belt guides.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
If the seat belt locks when the seatback
is folded, and pull out the locked seat
belt then release it.
