NOTE: To assist in making the correct con-
nections for multichannel input, output and
speaker connections, all connection jacks and
terminals are color-coded in conformance
with the CEA standards as follows:
¡ Back Surround Speaker Outputs:
These speaker terminals are normally
used to power the back surround left/
back surround right speakers in a 7.1-
channel system. In conformance with the
CEA color-code specification, the brown
terminal is the positive (+) terminal that
should be connected to the red (+) termi-
nal on the Back Surround Left speaker
with older color-coding, while the tan

speaker with the older color-coding.
Connect the black (–) terminal on the
CVR700 to the matching black negative
(–) terminals for each back surround
speaker. (See page 42 for more informa-
tion on speaker polarity.)
