    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 2.2. Network Connection Setup 2.2.1 Using a Static IP Address You can use the Static IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway address provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for your DVR. The Gateway address is the IP address of your broadband modem.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR Live Menu Navigating to a different channels by using the mouse. By using the mouse, move the mouse to the far right in the middle of the screen and a blue arrow button will appear on the screen (see picture above) to navigate to different channels. If you are viewing the channels in a 4 split mode and by clicking the blue arrow button, it will take you to the next four channels.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 3.1. Video/Audio There are 5 sub menus under Video/Audio. To exit to main menu, press MENU (or right click on the mouse) key again. 3.1.1. Camera (Channel) Name and Display 1) VIDEO: You may select the video ON, OFF, COVERT 1 or COVERT 2.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 3.1.2. Monitor/SPOT Adjust the brightness/contrast/hue/color for each analog camera (ch#1 thru 4) connected to DVR. The SPOT OUT monitoring is independent of live mode, which monitors a specific channel through the SPOT OUT port. SEQUENCE MODE: ON/OFF SPOT OUT monitoring is in auto sequence mode when it is ON.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 3.3.4. PTZ CONTROL SETUP DVR supports Pan, Tilt, Zoom and Focus control for PTZF cameras or servers. It has RS485 port to connect to PTZ cameras and supports most industrial common protocols. 1) ID : You can create own ID number (0-255) for each PTZ camera (up to 16 cameras. Ex. is for 4 ch).

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 3.4.5. AUTHORIZATION MANAGEMENT You can set permissions of each user over the DVR’s specific function and settings. 3.4.5.1. ADMIN. 1) Under Authorization Management Admin, you can ABCHOME change Admin’s ID and Password. By clicking on the ID, a virtual keyboard will appear to type in ID.

DDNS Setting: DDNS is a short form of Dynamic Domain Naming Systems. DNS (Domain Name System) is a service that routes a Domain name consisting of user friendly characters to an IP consisting of numbers (64.233.189.104).

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 3.5.5.2 MAILING SERVICE: EVENT You can set the interval and type of event that will be sent to the user. 1) Event Interval: Set the event interval time (10 min – 30 min) - If a series of events occurs, an email will be sent at that specified interval time and not on each event to notify you that an event had taken place.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 3.6 BACK UP You can check the backup device and set the backup schedule by channel or by time. You can only backup your data with either a UBS Drive or external CD/DVD Writer. 1) Backup Range: Sets the Start and End time for the backup.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR CHAPTER 4 : SEARCH MENU 4.1 TIME SEARCH To search by calendar, click the calendar icon. A calendar will appear in the middle of the screen. You can search for recorded data of a desired time. 1) Select a date to search 2) Recorded data on that date and time will be listed.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 4.2 EVENT SEARCH You can search for events by the channel and play them. 1) Use the mouse or direction buttons to set the search criteria and press the [ENTER] button. 2) All record events on a specific date will be recorded and can be retrieved.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 4.3. MOTION Start Date & Time End Date & Time Preview Display Under motion search, you are able to search for all areas that have been recorded when motion is detected. It is a very specific search instruction to eliminate time loss and unwanted search areas. If a motion is detected in each channel, you can set a desired area to perform the search.

    H.264 Pentaplex DVR 4.5 CAPTURE How to retrieve captured image files Click SEARCH -> CAPTURE. You will see the list of captured image files. It will show you captured date, time and a source channel (camera) number. To see the captured image, click on the Date/Time Preview section.
