Operating the dishwasher

End of a program

When a program has finished, the
"End" sequence indicator will light. The
dishwasher can now be opened and
unloaded (see "Unloading the dish-
washer").
If the dishes are not needed immedi-
ately, leaving the door closed will allow
the fan to run for a few more minutes for
thorough drying.
If dishes are needed immediately, the
drying process can be accelerated by
opening the door a few inches after the
"End" indicator has lit.
When the door is closed again, the
"End" indicator will go out and the
"Start" indicator will light.
The next wash program can now be
started.

Turning off the dishwasher

At the end of a program:
^ Turn the Program Selector (18) to
"Stop".
The "End" indicator (15) will turn off and
the "Start" indicator (20) will come on.
The Miele dishwasher Waterproof
System is designed to shut off the
water flow and drain the machine in
the rare event of a valve failure. For
this to be active, the door must be
shut and the machine must be "On"
(not running). The "Start" indicator
will remain lit to indicate that the Wa-
terproof System is activated.
To deactivate the Waterproof System
and turn off the "Start" indicator, turn
the dishwasher off using the "On/Off"
button. If the dishwasher will not be
used for an extended period (e.g. while
on vacation), the water valve should be
shut off.
