Hooking Up the TV/VCR
Connecting Antennas or Cable Systems without a
Cable Box
A. VHF/UHF Dipole Antenna
Follow these steps to connect a VHF/UHF
dipole antenna to your TV/VCR. Do not
connect this type of antenna if you plan to
connect a different type of indoor or outdoor
antenna or cable system.
1. Insert the antenna base into the slot on the
back of your TV/VCR.
2. Connect the twin-lead ends of the antenna
to the screw terminals of an antenna
adapter.
3. Connect the antenna adapter to the IN
FROM ANT. jack on the back of the
TV/VCR.
4. Plug in the TV/VCR's power cord.
5. See "Setting Up the TV/VCR" on page 3.
• For best reception on VHF channels,
extend the rods fully; shorten the rods
for best reception on UHF channels.
B. Outside Antenna, Set-top
Antenna, or Cable System
Without a Cable Box
1. Connect as shown.
This connection may require additional
accessories not provided.
2. Plug in TV/VCR's power cord.
3. See "Setting Up the TV/VCR" on page 3.
