Connecting to a Computer

You can connect the navigation device to a computer in order to obtain
access to the built-in flash memory.
To do this, your computer must run under Windows
®
Vista
and have a free USB port (USB 1.1 or USB 2.0).
As soon as a connection to the computer is established, the
button operation on the device will be locked.
Power the device on. To do so, use the On/Off button (page 12,
-
item 2).
Plug the Mini-USB connector of the USB cable (page 1, item 9) into
-
the receptacle (page 12, item 9) of your navigation device.
Next, plug the other connector of the USB cable into a free USB port
-
on your powered-on computer.
The navigation device will restart. As soon as it has initialised, the
message PC <-> PNA will appear and the device will be locked.
The operating system will detect the flash memory of the navigation
-
device as a removable media and will show it under My Computer.
A drive letter will be assigned to the flash memory depending on the
computer configuration (see the figure on the following page).
