Symptom
Toast too light.
Toast too dark.
Unit takes too long to toast.
Unit toasts on one side only.
(TK-135B and TK-155B models are
designed to toast one side of
buns/bagels only.)

Probable Cause
Speed Control set on a light setting.
Thermostat is set to low.
Supply voltage to unit is low.
Heating element defective.
Speed Control set on a dark setting.

the toaster needs time to heat up when initially
turned on.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAzARD: Turn OFF power switch,
unplug power cord, and allow unit to cool before
performing cleaning, adjustments, maintenance, or
attempting to clear a jam.
Turn Speed Control to a darker setting.
Refer to
OPERaTION section for information.
Verify the supply voltage to the toaster matches
the unit specifications.
Visually check the heating element inside the
toaster with the unit turned on. The heating
elements should glow red. If the element does not
glow, Contact authorized Service agent or Hatco
for assistance.
