2 Within the tone mode, press the
adjust the tone.
Note
• If the tone display disappears, start again from
step 1.
• When pressing the TREBLE up/down or BASS
up/down buttons, you can skip step 1.
• Extreme settings at high volume may damage
your speakers.
• In general, the bass and treble levels are
adjusted to 0.
3 Press the TONE DIRECT button to listen to a
program without the tone effect.
Note
• TON DIR is displayed, DIRECT lights up and
the sound bypasses the tone circuitry.
• To cancel the tone direct function, press this
button again. TON CTRL and DIRECT turns
off.

Adjusting the sound volume balance

To adjust the sound volume balance:
1 Press Balance. BAL and the balance level
are displayed for three seconds.
2 Adjust the sound volume balance between
the left and right speakers.
Note
• If the balance display disappears, start again
from step 1.
• In general, the balance levels are adjusted to 0.

Auto tuning
To auto tune a radio station:
1 Press TUNER on the receiver or FM/AM on
the remote control to select the band.

Each time this button is pressed, the band
changes from AM to FM, and vice versa.
When the tuner is selected by pressing the
TUNER or the FM/AM button, you can select
the band by pressing the BAND button on the
front panel as well.
2 Press T/P MODE to select the tuning mode.

• TUNING mode—PRESET turns off.
• PRESET mode—PRESET lights up..
