radio You can listen to FM radio stations when the optional Motorola Original™ FM radio headset
accessory is plugged into the accessory connector port on your phone. Your phone turns the radio on/off,
tunes stations, and stores presets.
recent calls lists This includes the received calls and dialed calls lists. See also: received calls , dialed
calls .
received calls The list of numbers for calls that you most recently received—both calls that you
answered and calls that you missed.
received calls timer The total amount of time you spent on all received calls, since the last time you
reset this timer. Also see timer.
reconnect (interactive services) Some network service providers let you use your menu to
reconnect to the last interactive service that you used.
reminder Notify you of appointments in your Datebook. You can change the sound and display that
accompany your reminders. See also: alarms .
roam To use a wireless system outside of your home system, usually when you travel beyond the range
of your home system.

scroll To move backward or forward through a list; for example: to move backward or forward through
the menu system or the phonebook using either the S key or the

keys.
send To complete an outgoing call from your phone; to call a phone number, you enter the number
and then send the call.
secure code A six-digit code used to access and change certain security features. The
factory-programmed secure code is 000000.
service center number The number for the service center that processes your outgoing messages.
When you send a text message, your phone actually calls your service center and sends the message
there. The service center then delivers the message to its destination. Your network service provider
should give you this number, and you (or they) must set it up on your phone before you can send
messages.
service provider A company affiliated with a wireless carrier that provides wireless service to its
customers.
service tones Two short beeps used to alert you when your network registration status changes
(optional feature available on some phones).
shortcut A voice cue or key combination that instantly accesses a frequently used menu item. You can
define shortcuts.
signal The radio waves that carry information between your phone and the wireless network.
silent mode Select this feature and all your phone's tones are silenced and the VibraCall® alert
activated.
