Recording onto a tape

There are three ways to record on a
TYPE I (normal) tape.
Use the buttons on the unit for the
operation.
CD-TAPE Synchro Recording:
You can record an entire AUDIO CD onto
a tape.
Manual Recording:
You can record just the portion you want
from a sound source, including connected
audio components.
Sound Mixing:
You can "mix" sound from any one of the
sound sources and singing or speaking
into a microphone (not supplied). The
mixed sound can be recorded onto a tape.

Load a recordable tape into tape
deck.
If you select both sides recording or
front side recording, press nN
repeatedly until N indicator lights
up, then press x at the point you want
to start recording.
If you record on the reverse side, press
nN repeatedly until n indicator
lights up, then press x at the point you
want to start recording.

Press DIRECTION repeatedly to
select "g" to record on one
side or "j" to record on both
sides.
If you select "j", be sure to start
from the front side. If you start from
the reverse side, recording stops at the
end of the reverse side.

Prepare the recording source.
For CD-TAPE Synchro Recording:
Press DVD and load the disc you want
to record. If you have already loaded
the disc, press DISC 1 ~ 3 to select the
disc. When the disc starts playback
automatically, press x twice to cancel
resume play.
For Manual Recording and Sound
Mixing:
Press the function button (except
TAPE) to select the source you want to
record.
When recording from a disc, select the
track or file you want, then start
playing the selected track or file.
For Sound Mixing, if you want to
record your voice through the
microphone only, you can do so by
selecting the USB function and do not
playing USB device.

Set tape deck to stand by for
recording.
For CD-TAPE Synchro Recording:
Press REC TO TAPE.
"TAPE" and "SYNC" light up
and "REC" flashes in the display.
"Push ENTER" and "CD-TAPE
SYNCHRO Recording" appear
alternately in the display.
If the play mode is set to Shuffle Play,
Program Play or Repeat Play, it
automatically switches to Normal
Play.
For Manual Recording and Sound
Mixing:
Press REC TO TAPE.
"TAPE" lights up and "REC" flashes
in the display.
