Power supply

Turn the device off. Connect the power adapter's connector to the DC IN 5 V power
supply connection on the device. Now you can plug the power adapter's plug into a
power outlet that has been correctly installed according to your public power system.
Please bear in mind that the device consumes a minimal amount of power, even in a
standby mode. Remove the adapter from the power supply source in order to com-
pletely cut off the power supply to the device.

Antenna

Carefully place the antenna connector onto the thread found on the device. Screw the
connector to tighten.
Use the included adapter if you´d like to connect
the device to a rooftop aerial.

USB connection

With the USB 2.0 connection you will be able to use USB flash drives with a capacity of
up to 8 GB. These storage mediums must be formatted to FAT32.
You can also use USB hard disks with a capacity of up to 160 GB. These storage medi-
ums must be formatted to FAT32 as well.
Please note that USB cables connected must be less than 3 m in length in or-
der to maintain EMC compliance. Using cables longer than 3 m could influence
electromagnetic compatibility, which could lead to disturbance or failure.

Memory cards

SDHC and SD memory cards with a capacity of up to 8 GB and MMC cards with a capa-
city of up to 1 GB can be inserted, according to the illustration on the card, into the card
slot on the side of the device. Push the memory card in until it locks into place. A click
can usually be heard when doing so.
MS memory cards with a capacity of up to 2 GB can be inserted, according to the illus-
tration on the card, into the card slot as well. Push the memory card in until it locks into
place. A click can usually be heard when doing so.
The above storage mediums must be formatted to FAT32.
The USB connection does not warrant a supply of power to the external me-
dium used, for example a hard disk. Please refer to the user manual accompa-
nying the device connected.
