Vehicle/Air & Vehicle-Only Power Adapter (Optional)
The main purpose of the vehicle/air power adapter is to provide a source of power for using the Note-
book PC and/or charging the Notebook PC's battery from a 12VDC receptacle such as those found in
vehicles and certain airplanes.
You can use the Vehicle/Air Power Adapter in most vehicles, airplanes, or boats. The Vehicle-Only
Power Adapter does not have an airplane plug and can therefore be used only in vehicles or boats using
a standard cigarette lighter socket.
The Vehicle/Air Power Adapter is designed to work with the EmPower in-flight power system. The
EmPower system is currently available on many major airlines. If you are unsure of its availability on
your flight, please consult your airline information.
These products are essential tools for today's mobile professional. Your purchase will enhance the power,
performance, and versatility of your portable computer while traveling in the air, on the road, or on the sea.
Vehicle -Only Power Adapter
A vehicle-only (automobile or boat) model
is also available which only has a fixed ciga-
rette plug and cannot be used in airplanes.
Vehicle/Air Power Adapter shown here.

Features

The vehicle/air power adapter plugs into any vehicle's 12 volt DC cigarette or utility receptacle and
produces an output of 19 Volts DC 2.64 Amp/hour or 50 Watts. These receptacles may be found in
automobiles, airplanes, boats, power generators, and portable power units.

Usage

Connect the 12 Volt plug into the automobile's or boat's cigarette or utility socket firmly. For airplanes,
remove the adapter as shown in the illustration above. The DC power plug is the same as the main
power adapter supplied with the Notebook PC.
