    Remote Control Remove the battery compartment cover on the rear of the remote control. Insert 2 "AAA" batteries, ensuring you follow the polarity diagram inside the compartment. Replace the battery compartment cover. NOTE: Remove the batteries from the remote control if not in use for a long period of time.

    Connecting External Equipment You can connect a wide range of audio and video equipment to and from your DVD Player. The following table lists a range of the available connectors on the DVD Player. NOTE: Refer to the manufacturer’s guide for further instructions on how to connect the equipment.

    DVD Player Using the DVD Player Turning the Unit On/Off Your DVD Player requires a power outlet of 100 - 240 V AC 50/60 Hz. Please ensure that your outlet is compatible. Insert the plug into a power outlet and switch on. Initially the DVD Player will be in standby (Off) mode.

    Basic Operation Volume Control Press the VOL+ button to increase the volume. Press the VOL- button to decrease the volume. While changing the volume, a volume bar will display the current volume level. Muting the Volume Press the MUTE button to turn the volume off. The mute symbol will appear.

    DVD Player Playing Discs STANDBY Press the button to turn the DVD Player on. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc drawer and insert a disc. Insert inside the disc drawer guides. Insert one disc only. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc drawer. Press the button.

    To Stop Play Press the STOP button. The DVD Player will enter pre-stop mode. If the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed, playback will start from the last played position of the disc. NOTE: Playback can be resumed by pressing the RESUME button.

    A-B Repeat The A-B repeat function allows a selected portion of a title or chapter of any length to be repeated. When the required start point has been reached, press the A-B button. The words 'Rep A-' will be displayed. When the required stop point has been reached, press the A-B button.

    DVD Player Audio The AUDIO button allows you to select the audio language of a movie or listen to any voice-over commentaries. During playback, press the AUDIO button. Each time you press the AUDIO button, the audio cycles to the next available audio channel.

    Searching You may directly enter a title or chapter number to search fast on a disc. The unit plays from the point. Press the [GOTO] button to play at a desired Title, Chapter or Time. Press the UP or DOWN ARROW buttons to display the items search bar as shown below.

    The Menu Function The menu function allows you to return to the DVD root menu. Press the MENU button at any time during playback to return to the DVD root menu. Shuffle Function The random function allows you to play the titles or chapters of the DVD in a random order.

    DVD Setup Menus The DVD Setup menus allow you to configure the Language, Video, Audio and General settings of the DVD Player. Press the SETUP button to access the DVD Setup menus. Use the UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT ARROW buttons to navigate the menu system.

    DVD Player Smart Picture The Smart Picture function allows you to select one of four preset picture conditions to give a different picture quality. The available options are Standard, Vivid, Cool and Personal. Standard is used for general viewing. Vivid is used for a brighter image with stronger colouring.
