To remove the needle
1) Turn the main power switch to
off,
2) Turn the handwheel counterclockwise b hand until the needle
is in
its highest position.
3) Loosen the needle set screw with screwdriver and remove the
needle.
Lightly tighten the screw at the unused needle position, so that
it
does not fall out while sewing.

You will never sew with three needles in place as illustrated.
To insert the needle
1) Turn the main power switch to off.
2) Turn the handwheel until the needle bar is in its highest position.
3) Hold the needle with its flat side away from you and insert it as far as it
goes.
4) Tighten the needle set screw securely.
5) If a needle does not go up all the way it may be necessary to loosen the other needle screw.
