PRE-INSTALLATION INFORMATION INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS This gas fireplace should be installed by a qualified installer in accordance with local building codes and with current CAN /CGA-B149 (.1 or .2) Installation codes for Gas Burning Fireplaces and Equipment. FRAMING FIREPLACE It is best to build firebox framing AFTER the appliance is set in place. Refer to the dimensions for your fireplace on pages 10 through 12. The framing headers may rest on the top of the firebox standoffs. The firebox may be installed directly on a combustible floor or raised on a platform of an appropriate height. -

The thermocouple assembly for the Martin DESIGNER model # DV3A consists of a heater formed by two thin wires connected between pins 3 and 8 (one half) and pins 5 and 8 (the other half).
