of their own 8-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai is one of the very few. Designed by Hyundai
and manufactured in-house, Genesis Coupe's 8-speed automatic transmission is an impressive feat of
engineering.
Genesis Coupe's rear wheel drive layout provides the ideal front-to-rear weight distribution
for optimal balance and handling. The 8-speed automatic transmission is a big part of the high
performance story. Compact and lightweight, its 8-speed automatic transmission achieve greater
efficiency in the transfer of power to the wheels.
6-speed manual transmission
For sports car purists who demand maximum driver involvement, Genesis Coupe is equipped
with a 6-speed manual transmission. Clutch engagement has a smooth, progressive and
predictable feel while the gear lever glides through the shift gates with buttery smoothness.
And to ensure every foot pound of torque is delivered to the pavement and power losses are
minimized, available Limited slip differential (LSD) employs torque sensing technology to deliver
power to the wheel with better traction.
8-speed automatic transmission
The optional 8-speed automatic transmission comes with steering column-mounted
paddle shifters for rapid-fire gear shifting.
