Select from the list the setting you want to edit, and

Copying from a SIM card to the
smartphone memory
If you have stored names and phone numbers on a SIM
card, you can copy them to the smartphone memory.
To transfer all the contacts, open the Contacts
application, press
, and select
directory to
Contacts.... Tap Copy. To transfer individual
contacts, open the Contacts application, press
and select
Tools
>
SIM
directory.... Select the contact and
tap
Copy to
Contacts.

Title area. Displays the application name and group
name or other details about the status of the
application. Tap to access the menus or press

Status indicator area. For status icons, see "Status
indicators" on page 22.

Toolbar. Contains either shortcuts to often used
applications or, in an application, a shortcut to useful
tools. In Desk, also displays the current time. Tap to
show the current date. To hide the toolbar, press
and select Display. Clear the Toolbar.

Scroll bar. Tap or drag to scroll the screen.

Your smartphone has a screen saver. If there are no actions
for a specified time period, the screen saver becomes

visible. To deactivate the screen saver, tap the screen or
press any key. Note that you cannot change the look of the
screen saver. For more information, see "Display" on page
107.

Navigating and selecting items

In most cases there are two ways to control the
smartphone: by pressing the scroll key and other buttons
on the smartphone or by tapping the screen with the
included stylus. You can mix these two methods to find
the way that best suits you. To locate the stylus, see Fig."2"
on page 13.
