Menu Operations
To change the setup values

Move the cursor to the desired item using the

The settings for each item are as follows:
Flash: To generate a trigger signal from the FLASH
connector, set this item to On.
Rec Tally: Select the polarity of the Rec Tally signal
output from the FS2 connector. You can select
"High" or "Low".
RS-232C: Select the device to be connected to the
RS-232C connector. (This item can be set only by
front panel operation.)
RM-C700: The RM-C700 Remote Control Unit.
Ext CPU: A computer. If this choice is selected,
the next item ("Baud Rate") must also be set.
Baud Rate: When controlling the DKR-700/700P
from a computer, the baud rate must be set to
match that of the computer's serial port.
Allowable values are 1200, 2400, 4800, and 9600.
FS1 Mode: Selects the operation mode when using
an optional FS-30 Foot Switch. (See page 25(E).)
Disp Color: Used to set the colors of the display
characters. Available choices are white, red,
green, yellow, blue, magenta, and cyan.
Beep: To cause the DKR-700/700P to beep upon
errors and the completion of operations, set this to
On. When set to On, the next items, "Key Click"
and "Rec End", may also be set.
Key Click: Setting this to On will cause the DKR-
700/700P to emit a short click whenever one of
the keys on the front panel or on the RM-C700 is
pressed.
Rec End: Set this to "On" if you wish to sound a
beeper when recording is completed.
Date: The date may be set into the internal clock.
Time: The time may be set into the internal clock.
