Using Wi-Fi Direct

Wi-Fi Direct function lets you connect directly to nearby peer devices over
Wi-Fi, for more reliable, higher-speed communication. Through third-party
apps, you can connect to compatible devices to take advantage of new
features such as instant sharing of files, photos.
Connecting to other devices directly

Tap Apps from the Home Screen and tap Settings > Wireless &
network.

Tap on the top-right side of the screen.

Tap Wi-Fi direct to activate and tap OK.

Tap Wi-Fi direct settings.

Tap B on the top right side of the screen and tap Search.

Tap a device and connect to it.

Connecting to a 3G/4G network

Make sure to turn off the Wi-Fi network connection: Wi-Fi network and
the mobile hotspot cannot run at the same time. Note that you need
to subscribe for additional data plan to use the Mobile Hotspot and

Tap Apps from the Home Screen and tap Settings > Wireless &
network.

Tap on the top-right side of the screen and tap Tethering & mobile
hotspot.

Tap Mobile hotspot to activate.

Settings > Wireless & network.

tap Tethering & mobile hotspot.

Tap Mobile hotspot settings.

Tap Configure mobile hotspot:
Tap Network SSID and type the network
name.
Tap Security, select and tap a security
type and take necessary steps. Enter the
password if the network is encrypted.

Tap Save.

Tap Mobile hotspot to activate.
