Unpacking and setting up

Check the carton for all of the parts shown. Save the carton
for possible future use. It provides the best means to repack
the system for transporting it outside your residence.

You can use the system with the dock insert already installed,
or you can use the supplied dock adapter, which makes an

Apple dock insert work with your SoundDock
system.
To remove the insert from the dock
With your thumbs on the front of the dock near the Bose
logo, and your index fingers inside it, pinch until the rear of
the insert lifts up.
Using the dock adapter
To use the dock adapter and an Apple insert:
1. Press the adapter into the dock.
2. Place the insert that came with your iPod/iPhone into
the dock.
