SPECIFIC SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

SCREEN HANDLING CAUTIONS
■ ■ ■ ■ SCREEN STORAGE
Store the SCREEN ASS'Y in a standing pos ition in order to avoid deformation. If the screen is stored horizontally, there is risk of deforming the
screen face.
When necessary to place the SCREEN ASS'Y horizontally, position the s creen side upwards and sure to place s pac ers between the screen and
resting site (floor or stand etc.) to prev ent the screen from sagging.
■ SCREEN SURFACE
Sinc e the screen s urfac e is easily scratched or soiled, use ample c are when handling.
% DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
If the screen or sc reen panel need to
be replaced, remove the A screws
Leave the screen with fres nel lens and
double lentic ular lens attached. If cannot be
disass embled further.
PROJECTION UNIT REPLACEMENT
■ ADJUSTMENT DURING REPLACEMENT
When replacing the three R, G and B projection units, first replace the R and B units and perform foc us / s creen / raster centering adjustments
with reference to the G unit. Then replac e the G unit and perform G focus / screen / c onvergence adjustment. Finally perform R & B .
Convergence adjus tments . Use care to simultaneously removes all three-projection units.
■ DISASSEMBLY CAUTION
The projec tion units include locations that are not to be disass embled during s ervice. When replacing projec tion unit parts, dis assemble to the
state indicated in the figure below.
The figure indic ates screws and wires that are not to be removed. Use care not to remove these.
& Deflec tion yoke wires : to connec tor on POWER & DEF. PWB ASS'Y.

& Convergence yoke wires : to connec tor on CONVERGENCE PW B ASS'Y
[R="R", G="G", B="B"]
Check that tape is applied to the CRT neck.
If abs ent, the deflec tion yoke can dislodge.
Do not remove screws
