CONVENIENT FUNCTIONS FOR RECORDING

To pause recording
Press the 8 button to pause recording temporarily.
To restart recording, press the 3 or pause 8 button.
÷ After the record-pause mode has continued for about 10
minutes, the record-pause mode stops. To enter the
record-pause mode again, press the RECORD ¶ button (or
the two ¶ REC buttons on the remote control unit).

Blank recording
÷ To create a blank at the end of a recording:
Press the REC MUTE • button (• button on remote
control). The record indicator will blink and a silent section
will be recorded for 4 seconds, at the end of this time the
unit automatically enters the record-pause mode.
You can create 4 second or longer silent passages by
pressing and holding the REC MUTE • button (• button
on the remote control unit). The unit is set to the record-
pause mode when the button is released.
The REC MUTE • button (• button on the remote control
unit) can be used during recording or when going from
recording to record-pause mode, however, it cannot be
used when the record-pause mode is activated from the
stop mode.

Starting recording with fade-in
Press the FADER button in record-pause mode.
Recording starts by gradually increasing the recording level.
The FADER indicator blinks in this period.

Ending recording with fade-out
Press the FADER button in record mode.
Recording ends by gradually decreasing the recording level.
The FADER indicator blinks in this period. Recording stops
when the fade-out is complete and the unit enters the record-
pause mode.
