4: Using the Controller VERVIEW Your GPS precision guidance system can help you perform any activity in the field. Throughout this guide the word “spray” means any activity on the field. However, we’ve chosen that word for convenience only - your system can accommodate all your farming activities, from planting to harvest.
Page 40
LiteStar II User Guide SING TRAIGHT UIDANCE If you can mark the two end points of a line, you can drive a straight pattern - it’s that easy. The A|B Line - Driving in a straight line sets point A and point B. Point A is the beginning of the line and point B is the end of the line.
Page 41
4: Using the Controller To use straight guidance: This procedure will show you how to start a new job and set up straight guidance. Be aware, however, that you can also switch to straight guidance at any time by pressing Contour/Straight or by recalling an old job that was set up for straight guidance.
Page 42
LiteStar II User Guide If you’ve already defined an A-B line, you can use it again by highlighting Previous A-B and pressing Enter/Yes. The Run screen displays. (The Run screen is explained on page 37.) To create a new A-B line, turn the rotary dial to highlight New A-B.

You may also define boundaries around objects like a pond and have that area subtracted from the area of the field.
Page 61
4: Using the Controller • Select Exclude Bdry to exclude an area inside the boundary in the area calculation. Exclude Bdry is used in conjunction with Include Bdry. For example, once you follow steps 1-7 using Include Bdry to calculate an area, repeat steps 1-7 again, this time selecting Exclude Bdry and driving around an obstacle such as a pond...
Page 62
LiteStar II User Guide Note: Spraying is optional while driving the boundary. HOWEVER, if spraying is not turned on, guidance is not provided to the boundary. (Remember, guidance is only provided to a previously sprayed area.) Computing a complicated area If you create more than one boundary for a job, areas within an Include boundary are added together.
4: Using the Controller AVIGATING TO A ARKED OCATION Overview A mark is a specific location expressed as a GPS coordinate. You can create marks to identify notable items in the field, such as rocks, pest infestations, and irrigation pipes that you want to navigate back to at a later time.
