ANNUAL MAINTENANCE STEPS
To reduce the risk of injury, user must read tool instruction manual before operating product.
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power source before
installing and removing accessories, before adjusting or changing set-ups or when making repairs. An accidental
start-up can cause injury.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS ANNUALLY to properly maintain the 20-950 Drill Press.
1. Remove the six button head cap screws attaching the upper pulley cover and remove the cover.
2. Lower the quill to the lowest point.
3. Remove the plastic cap (A) Fig. 46 over the spindle to expose sleeve (B).
4. Insert 5 cc or one teaspoon of bearing grease inside the sleeve (B).
5. Replace the plastic cap (A).
6. Hold the cap (A) with your finger as you slowly return the quill to its upper position.
7. Cycle the pinion (P) three times to remove any air trapped between the grease and the spindle.
8. Place 5 drops of machine oil in the center hole (C) of the center shaft.
9. Place the upper pulley cover back on and secure with the six screws.
