Chapter 1 HP Digital Copy
3 To activate the job accounting device:
The message Copier Disabled. Please check the External Copy
Device. appears on the HP Digital Copy display panel until you activate
the job accounting device. (See the user guide that came with the job
accounting device for activation instructions.)
Copy jobs will not be able to print unless one of the following occurs:

The feature is turned off using the PJL command (via accessing and
executing the fih.exe file mentioned in step 2).

Note If Copying Interrupted...Please check the External Copy Device
appears on the HP Digital Copy display panel, print and copy jobs are
held up. Follow step 3 to clear the message.

If the HP Digital Copy is not copying documents, make sure that the Foreign
Interface Harness cable is attached properly to the AUX connection. If the
problem persists, make sure that the printer processed the PJL command
properly (via accessing and executing the fih.exe file mentioned in step 2)
or see the user guide that came with the job accounting device.
