Do you have a question about the NRC111-SV and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
water goes from hot to cold and back to hot to cold when showering Have just descaled. Filter hard to clean
The Noritz NRC111-SV water heater may fluctuate between hot and cold during a shower due to several possible reasons:
1. Flow Rate Variations – The unit adjusts the burner based on water flow. If the flow rate changes, such as when another fixture is used, temperature fluctuations can occur.
2. Incorrect Temperature Setting Changes – Adjusting the temperature while hot water is in use can cause sudden shifts in water temperature.
3. Neutralizer Maintenance – If the neutralizer unit was recently replaced or has been empty for a long time, it must be filled with water to ensure proper operation.
4. Exhaust Issues – A displaced, clogged, or corroded exhaust pipe can affect heater performance, possibly leading to temperature fluctuations.
5. Cold Weather Conditions – In winter, the inlet water temperature is lower, requiring more heating, which may cause fluctuations if the unit struggles to maintain the set temperature.
To prevent these fluctuations, avoid changing the temperature during use, ensure proper exhaust function, and maintain a steady flow rate.
