SECTION 11—TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM
Insufficient air deliv-
ered from CPAP unit.
RAMP (therapy delay
time) not functioning
Error code "xxx" is
displayed in LCD win-
dow and device is
inoperative.
Invacare® Polaris™EX™
PROBABLE CAUSE
Therapy Delay function is
in use.
Blocked or dirty air filter.
Air tubing is kinked or
punctured.
Air tubing is not con-
nected properly.
Your clinician may not
have provided a therapy
delay time greater than
zero.
Internal device error.

SOLUTION
Wait for air pressure to
come on gradually,
according to the selected
delay period. (Refer to
Operation on page 26).
Or from Standby mode
press the Enter button
twice.
Remove blockage, clean
or replace if dirty. (Refer
to Maintenance on
page 35.)
Straighten or replace air
tubing.
Tighten air tubing connec-
tors at both ends.
If unit operates only in
Standby or Normal ther-
apy modes, call physician
and request delay time.
See how to adjust the
ramp timer setting. Refer
to Changing the RAMP
Timer on page 29.
Unplug power cord, wait
several seconds and
reconnect firmly.
If error message is still
displayed, contact your
home healthcare pro-
vider IMMEDIATELY.
