Introduction The SBAY5BK Trayless Hard Drive Backplane provides a simple, hot-swap compatible internal storage solution with support for up to five 3.5” SAS and/or SATA (SATA 1.5/3.0 Gbps) hard drives. The RAID compatible SAS/SATA backplane features two rear-mounted 60mm cooling fans and is constructed of aluminum and steel for maximum heat dissipation. -

Prepare 3 adjacent external 5.25” bays in the computer system for the SBAY5BK Mobile Rack and insert it into the computer system. Install as per the computer systems documentation. Standard mounting screws are included, if needed. -
Page 7: Driver Installation
Driver Installation No driver installation is required for any operating system, as this Mobile Rack is a pass through device, so only the hard drives are seen by the computer system. How to Use If the SATA controller supports Hot-Swapping drives, then hard drives can be removed and installed into the Mobile Rack without having to shut the computer system off. -
